PHYSICAL GEOLOGY

A one-semester, transfer-level, science course which covers minerals, rocks (igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic), mineral and energy resources, surface geologic processes (landslides, rivers and flooding, glaciers, wind and deserts, shorelines), and subsurface geologic processes (folding, faulting, earthquakes, mountain building, plate tectonics). Taught with an emphasis on stewardship of Earth.

Satisfies laboratory-science requirement for liberal arts, business administration, social sciences, and science majors.
