FIELD TRIP TO THE VALLEY AND RIDGE PHYSIOGRAPHIC PROVINCE OF VIRGINIA

A one-day, one-credit field trip to Rockingham, and Augusta counties, Virginia, to study the general geology, the economic geology, the structural geology, the paleontology, the physiography, and the environmental geology of the area. Course completion requires paper and take-home test. Course is offered in the Spring Semester only and is conducted on the third Saturday of April in even-numbered years. GOL 105 (or equivalent) is a prerequisite and permission of the instructor is required.
