FIELD TRIP TO NORTHERN VIRGINIA, WESTERN MARYLAND, AND EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA

A two-day, two-credit field trip to Great Falls of the Potomac, and Harpers Ferry, Virginia, Sidling Hill, Maryland, and the Potamac River Basin of West Virginia, to study the general geology, the structural geology, the paleontology, and the physiography of the area. Course completion requires paper and take-home test. Course is offered in the Summer Semester only and is conducted on the first weekend of June AS NEEDED. GOL 105 (or equivalent) is a prerequisite and GOL 106 is recommended. Permission of the instructor is required. Saturday night is spent at Rocky Gap State Park, Maryland. Extra fees are required to pay for food and camping facilities.
